Palmi is a small town on the Costa Viola, located between Tropea and Reggio. It’s also where i have called home for the last six years.  Most of the town’s activity takes place in Piazza Primo Maggio which has a handful of bars and coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by.  This is also where you can continue to sip cocktails after the sun goes down!

We are lucky enough to have two beaches here, Marinella, a pebbly beach which is a short walk from the town centre (but a very steep climb back up!!!) and Tonnara, a mix of public beaches and private lidos, which can be reached by car or by bus in about ten minutes.

I know I’ll write loads about palmi over the next few months because it’s my diamond in the rough.
